Discover the authenticity of Morocco and contemplate the vast expanses of the desert on a 7-days Desert & Coast Line trip from Marrakesh. You will have a wonderful experience where you will sleep under the stars in a camp in the desert as you will travel through the Draa Valley and the Dades Valley and see the fortified village of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and visit the city of Essaouira and enjoy swimming in its wonderful beach & experience surfing activity and many other interesting places.
After breakfast in your riad, you will set off for the Dades valley. Passing through Tizi-n-Tishka pass in the High Atlas Mountains youwill visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou which has been the backdrop for many films ,then continue toOurzazate and the Roses valley, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. On this Morocco Tours Desert, you will also pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M’Gouna to arrive to Dades valley where you will spend the night in a traditional Moroccan hotel with dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast, depart to Merzouga dunes. You will have the opportunity to explore Tinghir and the Todra Gorges. The limestone cliffs carved an opening through the TodraAssif 'River' its spectacular peaks seem to dive to the bed of the river. The peaks rise up to 300 m above the Todra. Stroll the gorge and the palm groves, taking in its wondrous glory. After lunch, we will continue to the palm groves of Tinjdad, Touroug and Erfoud, thento Merzouga where you will enjoy a camel ride, night is spent in nomadic tents between the dunes of Merzouga. After breakfast, your first stop will be in Rissani, former economic capital of Morocco. Caravans come and go from this market to barter, donkeys and Berber pharmaceuticals (all natural). After touring the market in Rissani you will have lunch in the small town of Nkoub. Return to Ouarzazate, passing through the Draa Valley. You will make a stop for tea in Agdz. Spend your last night in a romantic Riad, and cool off in the pool after your long day.
After breakfast, explore the town of Ouarzazate, the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios, the largest and most famous film studio in Africa. Visiting The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Then driving back over the winding Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Marrakech. Continue to the city of Essaouira. Accommodation at a Riad or Hotel.
Today you will explore the city of Essaouira. Enter the charming blue and white town of Essouria, also known as “Wind City of Africa”, excellent for windsurfing and sailing. You will visit many fascinating sites, including the sea port. Stroll the sandy beach that stretches way to the south. The laid-back atmosphere of this town, the dramatic ramparts and the sandy beach have together created an attraction for artisans and hippies for years. Essouria has a bohemian feel quite different from the rest of the country. Back in the 1950’s Orson Wells stayed at the Hotel des Iles during the filming of “Othello”. This picturesque town of Essaouria was the home of many other film productions. Jimmy Hendrix’s song “Castle Made of Sad” was written two years prior to his visit to Essaouria. When the tour of Essaouria is complete you will rest in your Riad or Hotel for the evening.
On this day you will have more time to enjoy the city of Essaouira . On the afternoon we will drive to Marrakech city. Relax for the evening in your Riad or Hotel for the evening.
After breakfast you will explore the city of Marrakech,our driver and a licensed English local guided will meet you and take you in a guided tour to explore some of the best monuments and attraction in the city, you will be visiting the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque,You will also visit the El-Bahia Palace,The Saadian Tombs, The Koranic School Medersa Ben Youssef,Djemaa El Fna Square, and the MedinaCentral Souks.
